Google rejected your review report. What now?

Guide · 5 min read · Updated September 2026

A rejection is not a verdict on whether the review breaches policy. It is frequently a verdict on whether the report explained which policy it breached.

Read what you actually submitted

Most rejected reports say some version of “this review is false and damaging”. That is a complaint, not a ground. The report has to name the prohibited-content category — fake engagement, conflict of interest, off-topic, harassment, personal information — and say in one sentence why the review falls in it.

Build the appeal properly

  • One clause. Pick the strongest ground and argue that, rather than listing five and looking uncertain.
  • Attach the evidence. Records showing no transaction; screenshots of the account posting the same text elsewhere; correspondence showing motive.
  • Lay out the timeline. Date of claimed visit, date of review, date of any dispute. Sequence does a lot of the arguing for you.
  • Keep it administrative. The person reading has a queue. Emotion reads as weakness of case.

Appeal once, not five times

Repeated submissions of the same case do not increase the odds; they reduce how seriously the profile's future reports are taken. File a better version once.

Know when the answer is no

If the review describes a real visit in recognisable detail, no appeal will move it, and any provider promising otherwise is selling something they cannot deliver. At that point the work is the public reply and the review-generation programme — the two things that actually change what the next customer sees.

What we do differently

Every case we file names the clause, attaches the records and gets chased to a decision. That is unglamorous, and it is the entire difference between a report that is read and one that is closed in nine seconds.
