Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of cleanmyratings.com and to every service CleanMyRatings (“we”, “us”) provides to a client (“you”). For a paid service we also issue a service agreement or order that sets out the scope and price. If the service agreement and these terms differ, the service agreement applies to that engagement. By using this website or our services you accept these terms.
2. Definitions
- Assessment: our written review of your profiles that says, review by review, whether we consider removal realistic.
- Case: a review, or a group of related reviews, that you ask us to work on.
- Platform: the website that hosts the review, such as Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, Tripadvisor or Glassdoor.
- Scope: the cases and services you approve in writing, with their price.
3. Using this website
The content of this website is general information about our services and about how review platforms work. It is not legal advice and may not reflect the latest changes to a platform’s policies. You may not use this website in a way that harms it or other users, for example by attempting to access systems you are not authorised to use, by sending automated requests at volume, or by copying its content for commercial use without our permission.
4. Our services
We offer: assessment of public reviews against the platform’s published policies; preparation and submission of removal requests, reports and appeals through the platform’s official process; drafting of replies to reviews; monitoring of review profiles; advice on compliant ways to request reviews from real customers; and related help with duplicate or incorrect listings, sudden waves of reviews and employer reviews. The exact services, deliverables and price of an engagement are set out in its scope.
5. The free assessment
The assessment is free and creates no obligation to buy anything. It is based on the information you provide and on what is publicly visible on the platform at that time. It is our professional opinion, not a promise of a result and not legal advice.
6. No guarantee of results
Every platform decides independently whether to remove a review. We do not control those decisions, and we cannot guarantee that a review will be removed, how long a platform will take, or any effect on your rating, ranking or visibility. Our fees pay for the work we do, not for a particular outcome, unless your service agreement expressly says otherwise.
7. What we will never do
- Ask for, accept or use your passwords, verification codes or recovery access for any platform.
- Write, buy, commission, reward or coordinate reviews, positive or negative.
- Report a review that we have assessed as compliant with the platform’s rules.
- Use automated mass reporting, disposable accounts or any method that could put your listing at risk.
- Submit statements we know or believe to be false.
- Give legal advice or represent you in legal proceedings.
8. Your responsibilities
You confirm that:
- the information and documents you give us are accurate and not misleading;
- you are entitled to share them with us, including any personal data they contain, and you have removed details the case does not need;
- you own or are authorised to manage the business profiles concerned; and
- you will not ask us to do anything unlawful or contrary to a platform’s rules.
You agree to answer our questions and provide evidence within a reasonable time. Delays on your side can delay the case. We may decline or end an engagement if a request appears misleading, unlawful or contrary to a platform’s rules.
9. Scope and changes
We start work only after you approve the scope in writing (email is enough). Work outside the approved scope, such as new reviews that appear later, is quoted separately and starts only after you approve it.
10. Fees, invoices and payment
Case work is quoted in advance and invoiced for the approved scope. Monitoring and response services are invoiced monthly in advance. Payment is due as shown on the invoice. Card payments are processed by Stripe. If an invoice is overdue, we may pause work until it is paid.
11. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time. Work you cancel before it starts is not charged, and amounts already paid for that work are refunded. Fees for work already performed are not refundable, because they pay for work done and not for an outcome. Monthly services can be stopped with the notice period stated in your service agreement; the service then runs until the end of the period already paid for.
12. Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other’s non-public information confidential and uses it only for the engagement. We will not name you as a client, publish details of your case or use your materials in marketing without your written permission. These obligations continue after the engagement ends.
13. Data protection
Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf, we act as your processor on your documented instructions and apply appropriate security measures. A data processing agreement is available on request.
14. Intellectual property
You may use the reports, assessments and replies we deliver to you for your own business. Our methods, templates and other materials remain ours. The content of this website belongs to us and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.
15. Platforms and trademarks
Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Glassdoor and other platform names are trademarks of their owners and are used on this website only to describe the platforms we work with. We are an independent company and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any platform.
16. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, revenue or goodwill, and our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that engagement in the twelve months before the claim.
17. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for losses and costs that result from inaccurate information or documents you provide, or from instructions you give us that are unlawful or that you are not authorised to give.
18. Suspension and termination
Either party may end an engagement for a serious breach that is not corrected within 14 days of written notice. We may suspend work while invoices are overdue or if continuing would require us to act against these terms or a platform’s rules.
19. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including changes to a platform’s policies, processes or availability.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force when you approve a scope applies to that engagement. The current version is always published on this page.
21. Governing law and disputes
The governing law and the courts for disputes are those stated in your service agreement. Before starting any formal proceedings, both parties will first try to resolve a dispute in good faith by contacting each other in writing.
